We here at Perlman Architects wanted to take a moment and make sure you are aware of the proposed new fire access requirement. Instead of the standard 24 foot fire access it has been proposed that it be increased to a minimum of 32 feet.

Below is information taken directly from the Clark County Fire Department Web site:     

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CLARK COUNTY FIRE CODE ORDINANCE IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING AMENDED.
THE PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WILL BE HELD ON AUGUST 16, 2005.
TRADE ASSOCIATIONS OR OWNERS AND OFFICERS OF BUSINESSES WHICH ARE LIKELY TO BE AFFECTED BY THE PROPOSED RULE MAY SUBMIT DATA OR ARGUMENTS TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT REGARDING WHETHER THE PROPOSED RULE WILL:
A) IMPOSE A DIRECT AND SIGNIFICANT ECONOMIC BURDEN UPON A BUSINESS OR
B) DIRECTLY RESTRICT THE FORMATION, OPERATION OR EXPANSION OF A BUSINESS.
ANY DATA OR ARGUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE CLARK COUNTY FIRE PREVENTION DIVISION, 575 E. FLAMINGO,
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA 89119
NO LATER THAN 05:00 P.M. ON JULY 25, 2005.
